Custom Internet Services LLC is proud to announce its participation in Cybersecurity Awareness Month this October, joining a global effort led by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA) to promote safer digital practices for individuals and organizations alike.
Now in its 22nd year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a call to action for everyone to take responsibility for their online safety. This year’s theme, “Stay Safe Online,” emphasizes the importance of empathy, accessibility, and shared responsibility in creating a safer digital world.

Throughout October, Custom Internet Services will spotlight the Core 4 cybersecurity practices—four essential habits that can significantly reduce the risk of cyber threats:
- Use strong passwords and a password manager
- Turn on multifactor authentication (MFA)
- Update your software regularly
- Recognize and report phishing and scams
As part of the campaign, Custom Internet Services will be involved in a series of activities including:
- October 1-21: Accepting Award Nominations for local “Cybersecurity Heroes”
- October 1-29: Cybersecurity Bingo Contest for Kids and Adults
- October 1-31: Cybersecurity Window Display at the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce
- October 2 @12 PM: Cybersecurity Lunch Bites with Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce
- October 9 @ 10:30 AM: Practical Cybersecurity Webinar: “Friends, Followers, and Frauds”
- October 13 @ 9 AM: Radio Show Guest on Bob-FM
- October 23 @ 10 AM: Chamber Coffee Host at the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce
- October 31 @ 4 PM: Downtown Trick-or-Treat with Winfield Area Chamber Members
The company will also share helpful resources across social media channels using the hashtag #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth.
