October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. To celebrate, Custom Internet Services would like to recognize community members who exemplify the values of a “Cybersecurity Hero” by helping others.
While we welcome the nomination of cybersecurity experts, we challenge you to think beyond your IT Department. Do you have a teacher that shares tips to stay safe online with students? Maybe it’s the fraud department at a bank that’s working hard to protect customers from online scams. It could even be a neighbor that helps make sure your computer stays up-to-date with the latest security patches. We want to know what people are doing to make our community a safer place!
Some Things To Know
- Entries received after 5pm on October 21, 2025 will not be considered.
- Our judges will select one person to recognize as our 2025 Cybersecurity Hero, and two honorable mentions.
- Winners will be announced on October 23rd at 10 AM at Winfield’s Chamber Coffee, hosted by Custom Internet Services. If the winners are not in attendance, they will be notified after the Coffee and have until October 31, 2025 to claim their prize. If the winner does not claim their prize by October 31, 2025 they will forfeit the prize and a new winner will be selected.
- Winners must pick up their prize from the Custom Internet Services office. We are unable to mail or deliver any prizes. If the winner does not collect their prize by October 31, 2025 they will forfeit the prize and a new winner will be selected.
- Employees of Custom Internet Services and their immediate family members are allowed (and encouraged) to nominate others in their community, but are not eligible to be recognized as a Cybersecurity Hero.
